LAW-6431 LAW & SOCIAL INJUSTICE
This 3-credit hour seminar course will examine the role played by the federal government and the courts in perpetuating social injustice in the United States. It will address the history and current issues surrounding racism, not only the black/white racial binary, but also how racism has impacted the experiences of other people of color, including Latinos, Native and Asian Americans. Issues concerning discrimination based upon religion, class, gender, and sexual preference may also be explored, particularly in the papers written to satisfy the course requirements.
