1. Barry University does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, familial status, marital status, pregnancy, age, disability status or veteran status. This policy applies to students, employees, applicants and trustees with respect to participation in any program, benefit, activity or student/employment opportunity offered by the University. Every member of the University community is expected to uphold this policy as a matter of mutual respect and fundamental fairness in human relations. Every student of this institution has a responsibility to conduct himself/herself in accordance with this policy as a condition of enrollment. Further, every University employee has an obligation to observe Barry University policies and implementation of federal and state law as a term of employment. No person shall be retaliated against for reporting violations or concerns about prohibited discrimination or bias through appropriate University channels.

Nothing in this non-discrimination statement shall require Barry University to act in a manner contrary to the beliefs and teachings of the Catholic Church or the University mission statement.

2. Notice Concerning University Reservation of Rights. The University reserves the right to modify its rules, policies or procedures, curriculum format, start dates, schedule, materials, educational methods, and delivery. Any changes to the delivery methods of a course that may occur will not affect the tuition and fees. Reasonable notice may be furnished to the University community of any substantive changes but is not required.

3. Notice Concerning Facilities and Premises Use. The University reserves the right at any time to deny, revoke, or modify authorization to use any University facility or premises. Decisions to authorize use of University facilities or premises are made by the appropriate facility coordinator. Decisions to deny, revoke, or modify the authorization to use University facilities or premises because of potential danger such as but not limited to adverse health or safety conditions, adverse weather conditions, adverse environmental conditions, violence, structural damage, etc. are made by a University official with emergency management decision-making authority, including but not limited to Vice President for University Administration, University Coordinating Officer, and/or the appropriate administrator involved with use of such University facilities or premises. Decisions made pursuant to this paragraph regarding the global use of University facilities and premises are final and may not be appealed. Decisions regarding the denial, revocation or modification of access to University premises or facilities by a particular individual will be made pursuant to applicable University policies and procedures.

4. Notice Concerning Transferability of Credits. The transferability of credits you earn at the University is at the complete discretion of the institution to which you may seek to transfer. If the credits, diploma or degree you earn at the University are not accepted at the institution to which you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or all of your coursework at that institution.

5. Notice Concerning Placement Services and No Guarantee of Employment or Wages. The University offers career development services to all students through its career development centers located on the Miami Shores campus and the Orlando Law School campus. The University does not and cannot promise or guarantee employment or level of income or wage rate to any student or graduate.

6. Notice Concerning Student Responsibilities. A Student may be terminated from the University for failing to follow any University policy, maintain satisfactory grades and/or attendance, or fulfill financial obligations.
