LAW-5220 INTRVW COUNSEL&PROB SOLV

This is considered to be a "skills" class and so students completing the class will have had an opportunity to practice how to conduct an initial client interview, counsel a client seeking to make a decision on how to proceed in either a dispute or transactional setting, and several negotiation or problem-solving situations. The goal is not to perfect these skills but to leave the class having learned, considered, and discussed various concepts, styles and strategies related to interviewing, counseling and problem-solving such that, when they become lawyers, students are able to use these concepts, styles, and strategies in practice regardless of the area of law they pursue.
