EDU-360 STRATEGIES & FOUNDATIONS IN EDUCATION
This course provides instruction regarding theoretical foundations, teaching approaches, and pedagogical frameworks within the field of education. This course is an introduction to topics within education and serves as the first component in the Teacher Accelerator Program (TAP). The course is specifically designed for students who are not seeking a degree in the field of education but are interested in pursuing a position as a teacher within South Florida's public or private school systems. Students will develop skills and practices that enhance foundational knowledge of teaching and translate teaching theories into praxis. Field experiences, class discussions, and pair- and group-work are used to practice and develop practical teaching skills in K-12 contexts.
