ART-323 PRINTMAKING
This studio-based course introduces students to the principles and practices of printmaking within a contemporary fine arts context. Students will explore a range of techniques-such as relief processes (linocut), silkscreen, and other methods-selected in alignment with the course theme, allowing for flexibility in material and approach rather than requiring mastery of all processes. Emphasis is placed on the development of strong visual concepts through composition, color, layering, and repetition, as well as the translation of design ideas into reproducible formats. Through individual and collaborative projects, students will investigate how printmaking intersects with design, considering both traditional and experimental applications while refining their technical skills and creative voice.
