Barry University provides academic instruction and training leading to active duty commissioned service in the United States Air Force in cooperation with the Department of Aerospace Studies, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) in conjunction with the University of Miami.
AFROTC is an educational program designed to provide college students the opportunity to become Air Force officers while completing an undergraduate degree. The AFROTC program provides hands-on leadership training and is designed to prepare cadets to assume positions of increasing responsibility as officers.
US Army (AROTC) Military Science & Leadership (MSL) Course
Barry University (BU) in partnership with the U.S. Army Cadet Command and Florida International University (FIU) offers the Army Senior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) course. These are college electives designed for undergraduate and graduate students that provide unrivalled leadership training for success in any career field and necessary to become commissioned officers in the active Army, Army National Guard, or Army Reserves. Students that complete the curriculum and earn a Bachelor Degree will become a commissioned officer, Second Lieutenant (O-1).
