SOC-200 SOCIETY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE JUSTICE
This course introduces students to essentialism, social constructionism, hierarchical relationships, institutionalized exclusion, and the socio-historical experiences of marginalized groups in the U.S. It emphasizes the importance of opposing social inequalities and injustices. Additionally, the course incorporates service learning as a community-based approach to apply course concepts toward building a more just and humane society.
