SW-662 MIND BODY CONNECT: NEUR CLIN PRACTICE
This multidisciplinary graduate course introduces students to the relationships between neuroscience, bio-psychosocial-spiritual functioning and traditional psychotherapy. Utilizing the most recent neurobiological research, this course will introduce students to the interconnection between neuroplasticity and relationship dynamics with individuals, couples, families and groups. Building on the Introduction to Trauma and Resilience course, it explores how trauma impacts the major brain networks, as well as strategies to reengage the thinking brain. The course also presents multiple perspectives in the advanced application of this research to inform clinical intervention.
