SES-503 EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ATHLETIC TRAINING
This course provides the athletic training professional with knowledge and skills necessary to make appropriate decisions while providing basic life support for an injured or ill patients. These decisions carry both ethical and moral responsibilities when caring for others in emergency situations requiring the student to maintain a professional and caring attitude. The course will focus on the etiology and prevention guidelines associated with the leading causes of sudden death during physical activity and the respective emergency management protocols and procedures. Course content will prepare the student to plan and respond to emergency events using current best practices to make physical activity participation as safe as possible. SES X02 emergency management course is an industry standard and considered to be a fundamental class upon which level 2 Athletic Training courses will build upon.
