Barry's Inclusive Access (IA) Program

Barry’s Inclusive Access (IA) Program is designed to make obtaining digital course materials simple, affordable, and stress-free. Students receive day-one access to required digital textbooks and resources at the lowest possible price, eliminating the need to shop around or wait for deliveries. Materials are integrated directly into Canvas, so everything is ready when classes begin—allowing students to focus on learning rather than finding their books. The program’s fee is conveniently billed to the student account, making payment straightforward and aligned with tuition and other charges.

How It Works

All students enrolled in courses using IA will automatically be granted access to their required digital course materials on the first day of class. The cost of these materials will be billed directly to the student’s account. Pricing for each course’s digital materials is clearly listed in a downloadable PDF available on the Campus Store website MyBarryStore.

By participating in the IA Program, you will gain access to our new e-reader, which can be used on the web or any other device by downloading the BibliU App. See the BibliU App Guide for instructions. You can listen to your e-books like an audiobook and take advantage of highlighting and note-taking tools.

You can also work on your materials offline; once you reconnect to the internet, your progress will be automatically saved and uploaded.

Opt-Out Option

Participation in Barry’s Inclusive Access (IA) Program is optional. Students who prefer to obtain their course materials independently may opt out of the program through BibliU Library by the published deadline listed in each semester’s opt-out schedule.

Opting out will remove access to the digital materials provided through Canvas, the university’s learning management system. Students who do not opt out by the deadline will remain fully responsible for the Inclusive Access charge, even if they later withdraw from the course.

The opt-out deadline is posted on each course’s Canvas page. Detailed instructions on how to opt out can be found here: How to Opt-Out. For additional information about deadlines, please visit the www.barry.edu/en/campus-store.

Important Notes

• Digital materials become inaccessible upon opting out.
• Charges remain non-refundable after the opt-out deadline has passed.
• This program ensures students are equipped with necessary course materials from the start of the term, improving academic preparedness and success.
