POS-306 THE CONGRESS

An analysis of the organization of the U.S. Congress with particular attention on the legislative decision-making process. Course examines the historical development of the institution and contemporary issues including theories of representation, and the role of political parties, interest groups, leadership, and constituents. Focus also on congressional elections.
