HIS-388 HISTORY OF THE CARIBBEAN

This course will provide an overview of the history of the Caribbean basin from Amerindian civilizations to present day. Major themes include indigenous lives pre-colonization, colonization, enslavement, independence and the relationship to the Americas. Emphasis is placed on political and social developments.
