BIO-365 MOLECULAR BIOLOGY

This course will examine the mechanisms that control the maintenance, expression and evolution of prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes. Topics covered in the lecture and readings of primary literature will include: gene regulation, DNA replication, genetic recombination, RNA processing and translation. Emphasis will be on experimental techniques, design and data analysis. 3 hours lecture. Prerequisite: BIO 110, 110L: Co-requisite: CHE 343 or CHE 152 or permission of the instructor (Spring)
