SES-367 PRINCIPLES OF PERSONAL TRAINING

This course provides an introduction to the principles of personal training as established by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). It will provide students a basic understanding of physiological changes during exercise training. The student will be introduced to concepts of exercise testing and prescription, and design of safe exercise programs for apparently healthy individuals medically cleared to exercise. Prerequisites: SES 330, SES 360 or SES 361
