BIO-253 Microbiology for Health Sciences

Characteristics, physiology, pathogenicity of bacteria and viruses, with emphasis on organisms important in human disease; methods of cultivation, identification, and control of microorganisms. 3 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory weekly.Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in BIO 110/110L OR Corequisite BIO 240/240L Required corequisite: BIO 253L.
