Kinesiology and Sport Sciences (B.S. KHPUS to M.S. KHPS SEPPG Seamless)
The Bachelor of Science to Master of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Sport Sciences (KHPUS) is a 150 semester hour program available to qualified students from the Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology concentration. The program requires 114 undergraduate semester hours and 36 graduate semester hours (six of which count towards the needed 120 undergraduate hours). The student who successfully completes the program meets the requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Sport Sciences and the Master of Science degree in Kinesiology and Human Performance with specialization in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology.
Academic Good Standing for B.S. to M.S. in Kinesiology and Sport Sciences to Kinesiology and Human Performance with Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology
After the fourth semester and before the sixth semester, students in the Kinesiology Sport and Exercise Sciences program (KHPUS) can apply for entry to the BS to MS program. Applicants must have a 3.75 cumulative grade point average at the time of application and maintain a 3.75 GPA for the remained of the program. Students must also receive a course grade of an (A) in the following courses: SES 335, SES 337 SES 427. Application will occur prior to SES 427 but is contingent on students receiving an A in the class. Lastly, students must complete an advisement meeting with their KHPS Faculty mentor prior to admission into the program. Students not meeting and maintaining the cumulative program GPA requirement will not be allowed to begin or continue with graduate coursework. Students will have their major changed from B.S. to M.S. to only the B.S. degree program for degree completion.
Graduation Requirements
1. Successful completion of the course and credit hour requirements.
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher in graduate-level courses, no “D” or “F” grades, and no more than six credits with a grade of “C.”
3. Successful completion of the comprehensive examination (Internship Option) OR Successful completion and presentation of a thesis proposal (Thesis Option).
4. Successful completion of the internship and the internship project (Internship Option) OR Successful completion and oral defense of a Thesis (Thesis Option).

The student majoring in Applied Sport & Exercise Science must exceed the University’s general education requirement of 42 hours. The Science and Mathematics area includes 11. This brings the total general education credit hours required for Applied Sport & Exercise Sciences majors to 44 (Courses listed as specifically required are shown below each subject area and must be completed with a grade of C or better).
