PHA-603 MED PATHOPHYSIOLOGY II

This course will introduce the Physician Assistant (PA) student of the common disease processes encountered seen in a primary care practice. Students will learn to distinguish the epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and laboratory examination findings.? Students will also be prepared to order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, develop differential diagnoses, along with comprehensive management, and health maintenance plans. Content will align with topics listed in the PA National Certification Exam (PANCE) blueprint. Medical Pathophysiology 1 and 2 is a sequential course that covers all organ systems and builds upon content taught previously in the courses. Prerequisites/Co-requisites: Satisfactory completion of the first course is a prerequisite for the second.
