HSA-511 HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS AND ADMINISTRATION
This course provides an overview of organizational theory and the conceptual basis of traditional managerial and executive leadership roles in the U.S. healthcare system. Emphasis will be placed on the application of theory and best practice standards to common daily operations of select healthcare organizations. Broad topical discussions include: health system infrastructure and financing, policy development, ethical standards, performance metrics, organizational change, and effective communication strategies.
