OTD-724 LEADERSHIP &HLTHCARE ADVOCACY
This course addresses leadership as a subject of study with specific emphasis on the theories, models, practices, and competencies of leadership within a health organization context. Topics such as cultural competency, leader competencies, quality evaluation, communication, planning, decision-making, and employee development are discussed. Novice and experienced practitioners are empowered to become better leaders in practice and to improve patient and organization outcomes. Pre-reqs: admission in the OTD program
