Explores the expectation of the leader in nursing education across settings. The components of teaching, research, service, collegiality, and shared-governance are integrated into the development of the leadership role. Ethical, legal, and social factors will be considered for their future impact on nursing education. Reflection will guide the development of a personal philosophy of education.
